Dear Students and Parents of Franklin School,
I welcome you and your family to Franklin Elementary School, one of the eleven elementary schools in the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District. We are going to have an exciting, enriching, and productive year. At Franklin, we are committed to providing the highest level of education where ALL students can learn and be prepared. Our outstanding staff, wonderful PTA and Governance Council at Franklin is committed to academic excellence and making a positive difference for ALL students.
At Franklin, we maintain high expectations for all students and adults on our campus. Students are expected to act responsibly and always do their best academically, behaviorally, and socially. We encourage our students to seek additional support whenever they have a problem, need assistance or have a concern. Please keep in regular communication with your child's teacher. We will issue two report cards this year, including one with conferences in November. It is important to listen to your child and support him/her by encouraging each child to do his/her best. I encourage parents to attend PTA meetings, where important information is always shared.
I look forward to meeting and seeing each of you and invite you to come by and say hello. My primary goals are the education and safety of our children. Children come first! I encourage constructive suggestions and appreciate comments for the betterment of all. We must all be positive role models for the children and such we all need to continue to model appropriate dress, talk, and respect. In addition, support of academics and life-long learning should continue to be developed.
